DETAILS:
The FICIX-2 IXP-platform will be replaced with new hardware at both sites (Pasila & HE7). The update will cause all services via FICIX-2 to be down.
Members are requested NOT to shutdown ports during the work.
To avoid unnecessary blackholing of traffic, dropping BGP-sessions over FICIX-2 or preferring FICIX-1/3 NLRI's is recommendable action. FICIX will implement filters on the ports to drop BGP-sessions over FICIX-2 during the maintenance window, which should minimize risk of blackholing.
FICIX-1 and FICIX-3 sites will be in full operation during the work.
