Finland's most important Internet exchange point FICIX is now also located in Equinix HE7/HE6 datacenter and will be ready for interconnections in April 2022. The site has redundant backhaul connections to FICIX2 site in Pasila which means that all the current peers of FICIX2 can easily be reached in Equinix HE7/HE6 datacenter.
FICIX, Finnish Communication and Internet Exchange association, is Finland's largest and one of Europe's oldest interconnection points. All major Finnish networks and international networks operating in Finland are connected to FICIX nodes.
FICIX, Finnish Communication and Internet Exchange association was founded in 1993, providing a neutral and reliable IP peering facilities for its members. Ficix is a non-profit association. FICIX operates internet exchange points in Helsinki, Espoo and Oulu.
